Problem:
Windows can't find and install tethering driver.
Solution:
- Go to Device manager
- You should find on the list device with missing driver
- Right click that device and select Update Driver
- When the window pops up, select "Browse for driver software on your computer"
- On the next screen, click on "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
- It will ask you the device type, locate on the list "Network Adapters" and click on it
- Select manufacturer, it should be "Microsoft Corporation"
- Select "Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device"
- Hit Next to finish installation
What the fuck?! you are a life saver, as one of the few people on this planet who is using an old smashed screen htc phone as a router and who accidentaly uninstalled the old driver, you saved my life, you are my personal jesus
